POST-EVENT REPORT:
12 February 2022 was not a regular Saturday in #Indore - it was a very rocking day - and the one which will be remembered in history, for the start-up ecosystem of Indore !!
In the 75th year of India’s independence (Amrit Mahotsav), we recognised 75 super start-ups of Indore !!
Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad honorued 25 of these rocking 75 start-ups of Indore, in this mega initiative taken under the Saansad Sewa Sankalp by our Member of Parliament Mr. Shankar Lalwani !! Dr. Karad also promised that Government of India will support the start-ups of Indore !!
Indore's start-up ecosystem will now get a nitro-boost of sorts !!
In the program organised on Saturday, 25 start-ups of Indore selected by the committee of experts were awarded and 50 more startups were recognised !! All these 75 start-ups will now get funding and mentoring opportunities, thanks to the recognition !!
Dr. Bhagwat Karad praised the cleanliness of Indore !! At the same time, praising the work of MP Shankar Lalwani, Dr. Karad assured that as the Minister of Finance, Indore's start-ups will not face any kind of shortage of funding !!
Mr. Shankar Lalwani said that 'Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the country is progressing rapidly as a start-up nation and many unicorn start-ups have emerged, including from Indore as well !! He also said that the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has always guided Indore to move forward in the field of start-ups and together we will make Indore the startup capital !!
Mr. P Narhari, Principal Secretary - MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh, said that i-Hub should be started in Indore on the lines of Tea-Hub in Hyderabad !! Also, Madhya Pradesh's start-up policy will be announced in a week, which will always be open to change - for the betterment !! Also, a Venture Capital Fund will be created in the state !! Praising MP Mr. Lalwani, IIM-Indore Director Prof. Himanshu Rai said that Indore has immense potential !! Professor Rai, while motivating the start-ups, said that this is the best time to work on startups !!
TiE-MP President Mr. Pradeep Karambelkar said that TiE-MP will organize such funding events regularly, and TiE Director Mr. Abhishek Sanghvi further said that they aim to create the best ecosystem for incubating, building and funding start-ups, and aim to invest !! Also, TiE-MP has a plan to invest ₹100 crore in start-ups of Madhya Pradesh, in the next 1 year !! This was the biggest funding event of Madhya Pradesh for startups !! 11 investors were part of the panel from across India, including Mr. Mahavir Sharma of TiE Angels, Mr. Abhijit Bhandari of Ecosystem Ventures, Mr. Anil Joshi of Unicorn India Ventures and Mr. K Chandran of Chennai Angels !! 15 selected start-ups from the region pitched to the investors !! Ecosystem Ventures provided on-the-spot funding commitment of ₹4 crore, to 3 start-ups !!
IIM Indore promised to devote 4 hours every week to the start-ups of Indore, while Mr. P. Narhari announced to provide many facilities to the startups of Indore !! Mr. Sawan Laddha of Workie has decided to give working spaces, where IIM Indore and start-ups can meet !! State Government advisor Dr. Nishant Khare and BJP city president Mr. Gaurav Randive were also present in the program !!
The startups were introduced in the event by Mr. Sawan Laddha, CEO, Workie co-working space and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Ankit D. Mittal, Chair - Startup & Innovation Panel of CII MP, who thanked the central & state governments for their constant support, MP Mr. Lalwani for working to make Indore the start-up capital of India, and all the entrepreneurs from Indore, who filled out nominations for this event, which were in excess of 500 start-ups !! Mr. Mittal also thanked hobble PM Mr. Narendra Modi for his vision of making India a land of job-creators from the one of job-seekers, with the help of start-ups !!
AdvertiCe CEO Mr. Mayur Sethi also thanked MP Mr. Lalwani and said that Indore's start-up ecosystem is now ready for take-off !! Mr. Ketan Bhandari said that the program was supported by TiE-MP, CII, Copperkraft and Anantya Organics !!

It offers an extensive bouquet of end-to-end sustainable solutions for climate action !! It has issued an IPO and is Indore's first Unicorn start-up - it has billion dollar plus valuation !!

As India promotes start-ups like never before, Indore also plays its role !! Indore would honour, encourage and promote 75 most rocking start-ups from the city, to make Indore a start-up capital, at the Indore Super StartUps event !!
In the 75th year of India's Independence - the Amrut Mahotsav - city's
Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. Shankar Lalwani has taken upon himself to encourage most number of start-ups from the city !! And in this line, an event is being organized at
Hotel Indore Marriott to encourage and acknowledge 75 start-ups from the city, so that they get popularity, funding and mentoring opportunities !!
PLEASE NOTE, IT IS AN INVITE-ONLY EVENT !!
And 25 start-ups amongst these 75 will also be given special recognition / reward !! This event would also be a big showcase to the world, for the Indore start-ups !! It would give an opportunity to the world's investors, to fund the start-ups from India's cleanest city !! More than 500 start-up entries had been received before the closing date....and many more wanted to enter !!
The chief guest for the occasion would be Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Finance Minister (MOS), Government of India, along with Mr. Shankar Lalwani - Member of Parliament - Indore, Prof. Himanshu Rai - Director - IIM Indore, Mr. P. Narhari - (IAS) Principal Secretary - Department of MSME - Government of MP, Ms. Pratibha Pal - Comissioner - IMC, Dr. Nishant Khare, and others !!
